Kieren is a young furniture designer maker with a deep passion for woodworking and beautiful design. Recently graduating with a BA in Product Design in Furniture at Sheffield Hallam University he was chosen to take part in the hand-picked graduate design show - New Designers Exhibition Talents at the Business Design Centre in London 2019.

Macdonald’s console tables reflect the elegant simplicity yet functionality of Scandinavian design. This form of design thinking is at the core of all his work.

Creativity has always been an important part of his life be it photography, designing or woodworking, creating something at the end that I can call my own is what keeps me wanting to do more.

The "Ciera" console was originally designed as a touchdown area to be used in the hallway for everyday essentials to reduce the rush of early morning routines. The tables are handmade using sustainably sourced European Ash from Germany and feature two leather drapes to be used for additional storage. These hang from the shelf's struts using brass hooks that are moveable to form different droops. The Nordic design style produces a tasteful aesthetic which is ideal for small homes with it's compact footprint.
